Chlorine Caldwell, 96, of HC 78, Box 192 in Lerona, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Serenity Place Assisted Living in Lerona. Born May 28, 1917 in Pipestem, she was the daughter of the late Henry Bragg and Sarah Victoria Bolen Bragg.
Chlorine was a homemaker and was formerly employed at Pipestem State Park for a short time. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel H. Caldwell; and two brothers, Joe Bragg, Sr. and Alan T. Bragg.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol Sue Caldwell of Lerona, Phyllis Geraldine Gentry of Lothian, MD, and Prema Gale Layman of Naples, FL; four grandchildren, Henry A. Gentry, III and wife Aneise, Richard Lynn Gentry and wife Maria, Druscilla K. Hayhoe and husband James, and Crystal Leigh Walters and husband Scott; and six great-grandchildren, Sheena Gentry, Reanna Jackson and husband Scott, Jamie Gentry, Christopher Gentry, Richard Gentry, and Rachel Victoria Walters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. John Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at the Rocky Mount Cemetery in Pipestem. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
