Clara L. Densmore
PRINCETON — Clara Louise Donnelly Densmore, 76, of 901 Stafford Drive in Princeton (Princeton Towers) passed away, Monday, September 9, 2013 at Cassell's Board and Care in Princeton after a brave battle with colon and liver cancers. She was born July 16, 1937 in Front Royal, Va. She lived in Pocahontas, Va. during most of her school years, prior to living in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Florida before moving to West Virginia for her retirement years. She was a hostess and server for some of the best restaurants and motels in St. Petersburg, Fla. for over thirty years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston Donnelly and Gertrude Henry; and grandmother, Clara Elizabeth Henry whom she loved dearly.
Clara will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and lifelong friends, John Michael Densmore of St. Petersburg, Fla., Ronald Williams and Charles Sharnet, both of Rock, W.Va., Robin Williams of Charlotte, N.C., Margaret Harrison of Staunton, Va., Patricia Stewart of Greenwood, Va., Judy Eller of Crozet, Va., Linda Hill of Staunton, Va.; her caregiver, Monica Lane; staff at Hospice Compassus; and the staff at Cassell's Board and Care in Princeton.
In compliance with Clara's wishes, she has been cremated with private remembrances. “There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of over whelming grief…and unspeakable love.” She had a good, happy life in Four Seasons Country. She was a beautiful soul, one life-well lived.
