TAZEWELL, Va. — Elizabeth Ann Sparks Harold

TAZEWELL, Va. — Elizabeth Ann Sparks Harold, age 65 of Tazewell, Va., passed away, Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, W.Va. She was born July 25, 1948 at Bluefield, W.Va. and was a daughter of the late William Burke Sparks, Sr. and Vicie Lucile Vencil Sparks. Ann had worked for many years as a quality control/quality assurance specialist for the fiberglass industry in Jacksonville, Fla. She was a member of the Tazewell Moose Lodge #185 in Tazewell, Va. and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Florida. Her favorite pastime was sewing and working outside in her garden. She was a loving and caring individual who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Marie Canterbury; sisters, Carol Susan Harold and Laura Ruth Dye; brothers, Charles Thomas Wiles and Robert Willis Wiles.

Those left to cherish her memories include Walter Harold of Tazewell, Va.; her son, Robert William Spangler of Tazewell, Va.; sisters, Stella Jane Walker of Granden, Fla., Cassie Margaret Smith of Folkston, Ga. and Barbara Heimlich of Ohio; brother, William Burke Sparks, Jr. and wife, Renea of Dublin, Va.; grandsons, Christopher Cody Canterbury, Jeremy Lewis Canterbury and wife, Taylor and Robert Andrew Spangler; great-grandchild, Colt Canterbury; a host of nieces and nephews; other family members and many friends.

Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Sparks Harold will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. with the Reverend Dennis McElmore officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013.
