Vincent P. Hale
HUNTINGTON — Vincent P. Hale, 51, of Huntington, W.Va., (formerly of Powhatan and Bluefield) departed this life on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Born in Welch, W.Va., he was the youngest son of the late John F. Hale Sr., and Hattie M. Hale. He attended school in McDowell and Mercer Counties. He was a Certified Diesel Mechanic and a fomer member of Midway Shiloh Temple Church in Keystone, W.Va.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Daffin “Butch” Nickens and Victor Hale.
Vincent is survived by his confidante and companion, Ms. Betty Canada of Huntington; his brothers, Carl (Patricia) Flood, of Grove City, Ohio, James (Estella) Nickens, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, David Nickens of Columbus, Ohio; Elder John F. (Vanessa) Hale Jr., of Princeton, W.Va. and Troy Parker of Cleveland Heights, Ohio . His nephews, Tauun Flood, James, Shawn, and Michael Nickens, John F. (Carrie Staton) Hale, III and James Hale. He is also survived by several cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 23, at 1:00 p.m. at the Spirit of the Lord Church, 544 - 6th Avenue in Huntington, W.Va., with Elder Nathaniel Ward officiating.
