VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Ethel “Queenie” Tramel, 69, of Virginia Beach, formerly of Princeton, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, Va.

Mrs. Tramel was born in Princeton, W.Va. on January 5, 1944 , she was the daughter of the late Margie Smoot and Dale Otis Lucas. She was a graduate of Princeton High School, class of 1961. In addition to being a homemaker, she volunteered at Windsor Woods Elementary School library and taught Sunday School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Lucas.

Mrs. Tramel will be sadly missed by her husband of 50 years, Fred R. Tramel, Virginia Beach, Va.; son, David A. Tramel, Virginia Beach, Va.; brother and sister-in-law, Glen Allen Lucas and wife, Debbie, Lindside, W.Va.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Memorial Funeral Directory on Tuesday, February 19, 2013.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory with the Rev. Ed Pettus officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton.

The Tramel family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory Cremation Center on Athens Road in Princeton.
