LAKE SHAWNEE —
Maxine White, 75, of Radford, Va., formerly of Lake Shawnee, went home with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 24, 2013. Born January 19, 1938 in Widemouth, she was the daughter of the late Quince O'Dell Haynes and Nannie Absher Haynes.
Mrs. White was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Paul D. White Sr.; one son, Paul D. White Jr.; infant granddaughter, Melissa White; three sisters, Leanza Cline, Mary Crews and infant sister Zella Bly Haynes and two brothers, Thurman Haynes and Sherman Haynes Sr.
Survivors include one son, Gary White Sr. and wife Patty of Narrows, Va.; two daughters, Gwendlyn White and Teresa Blanton and husband Larry all of Radford, Va.; five grandchildren, Brandon Stables, Gary White Jr., Kristen White, Melissa Dempsey and Kevin Blanton; five great-grandchildren, Joshua Blanton, Kaylee Blanton, Abbigail White, Logan White and Lakyn South; one sister, Pauline Hill of Dublin, Va. and two brothers, Herman “Speedy” Haynes of Maryland and Clyde Haynes of Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Kenneth Price officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 27 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
