ROCKY GAP, Va. —
Peggy Faulkner, age 74, of Rocky Gap, Virginia, passed away at home with her loving family by her side on March 24, 2013 after a long battle against Alzheimer’s disease. Peggy was born October 5, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Clyde and Ester Weddle.
Those left to cherish her memory are Peggy’s husband of 56 years, Alfred L. Faulkner; sons, Randy M. Faulkner, Roger E. Faulkner and wife Karen; daughter, Dr. Rhonda A. Faulkner; granddaughters from Roger and Karen, Lauren and Lindsey Faulkner; brother, Calvin Weddle and wife Janet, brothers Jimmy Weddle and wife Milly, David Weddle and wife Cindy; sisters, Claudine Moore and husband, Joe; Brenda Palombo and husband John; sister, Elaine Sink and husband Gary.
Peggy worked at the Bastian Sewing Factory for 12 years. Later she enjoyed being the “boss” of Al Faulkner Plumbing & Heating, founded in 1973 by Al and Peggy. Peggy was the co-owner and Vice-President as well as secretary/treasurer. Peggy received many thank you’s from customers for her importance in the business of recognizing their voices and knowing their first name and home address. Peggy and Al sold the business to Roger Faulkner in 2006 and Al remains active in the business.
For her memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Rocky Gap United Methodist Church at 12508 N. Scenic Highway, Rocky Gap, VA 24366 or Total Home Health Care Hospice at 106 Westwood Commons, Bluefield, VA 24605.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 6 p.m.–8 p.m. at The Rocky Gap United Methodist Church with funeral services following directly thereafter. Burial services are scheduled for Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Rt. 52, Bluewell, W.Va.
