ABBS VALLEY, Va. — Hubert Walter Clark of Abbs Valley, Va. went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 24, 2013 while a patient at Princeton Community Hospital. He was born in Ennis, W.Va. on May 12, 1921, the son of Walter Whitfield Clark and Margaret Tennessee (Musick) Clark.

Hubert was a decorated veteran of World War II. As a Sergeant in Company B 7th Medical Battalion he received a meritorious conduct commendation for action against enemy forces on Attu Island, Alaska on May 23, 1943. He also received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with 4 Bronze Stars, and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 2 Bronze Stars.
