CATAWBA, S.C. —
Goldie Francis Sadler Hall, 99, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at her home in Catawba, S.C. She was formerly of Princeton, W.Va. Goldie was married 76 years to Rev. Paul Hall who preceded her in death on January 28, 2009 at his home in Princeton. They had a wonderful life together for many years. She was a loving grandmother who will be sorely missed by her grandchildren.
They had three children, Arnold Roger Hall and Janice Annelle Hall who are both deceased and an adopted daughter, Virginia Hall Wiley of Princeton, W.Va. She also had a granddaughter, Tammy Stroud Dixon who preceded her in death. Goldie was the only surviving member of her family.
Goldie is survived by her grandchildren, Deonna Hall Brown and husband Bennett from Lexington, N.C., Susie Barker Grimmett and her husband Steve of Catawba, S.C., Cindy Hall Swim and husband Ed from Richmond, Va., Arnold Hall and wife Shelia from Brown Summit, N.C., Ronald Hall from Lexington, N.C., Rhonda Barker Treolo from Greenville, S.C., Dwayne Barker from Greenville, S.C., Diana Jackson from Washington, D.C., and from Princeton, W.Va., Barry Wiley, Brian Wiley, Chris Wiley and Brittany Powers.
A private funeral was held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory with the Rev. Doug Williams officiating. She was buried in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
The Hall family was served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
