OAKWOOD, Va. —
Ollie Aillene Ray Hinkle, 83 years of age of Oakwood, VA, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 in Clinch Valley Medical Center, Richlands, VA.
Born November 29, 1929 in Pikeville, KY she was the daughter of Lacy Ray and Kissiah Dorton Ray. She was a member of the Pilgrims Home Old Regular Baptist Church of Varney, Ky. for 56 years, loved to cook for her family and friends. She made sure no one left her home without being fed.
Ollie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
In addition to her parents, Lacy Ray and Kissiah Dorton Ray, she was preceded in death by her son, Wendell Hinkle, three sisters and six brothers.
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, William Billy Hinkle of Oakwood, VA; daughter, Diana Hinkle Stacy and husband Stanley of Grundy, VA; sons, Jerry Hinkle and wife Kathy of Mavisdale, VA, Monroe Hinkle and wife Pam and Danny Hinkle and companion, Serena Davis, both of Oakwood, VA; daughter-in-law, Regina Hinkle of Grundy, VA; sisters, Mary Jones of Varney, KY, Martha McCoy and Nancy Campbell both of Anthony, FL.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ollie Aillene Ray Hinkle will be conducted at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Keen Mountain, VA, Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Elders Gary Young, Danny Runyon and Dale Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA.
Active pallbearers will be Chase Hinkle, Justin Hinkle, Seth Webb, Michael Webb, Joseph Fletcher and Jamey Viars.
The family will receive friends at the Shortrige-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel, Keen Mountain, VA, Wednesday, May 15, 2013 after 6:00 p.m. with evening to be held at 7:00 p.m.
