HEPHZIDAH, Ga. —
Billy Allen McClaugherty, 57, of Hephzidah, Georgia, a former resident of Princeton, died Monday, May 6, 2013, at his residence in Georgia. Born November 14, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of the late Roy E. McClaugherty and Eula Mae Thomason Cash.
Billy was a United States Army retiree. He was a graduate of Princeton High School and attended Bluefield State College.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann O'Rourke McClaugherty of Hephzidah; son, Matthew McClaugherty of Hillsville, Va.; stepdaughter, Rae Anderson of Hephzidah; stepsons, Andrew White of Key West, Fla., and Eric White of Fillmore, Utah; step-grandchildren, Jesper and Tess Anderson; sister, Barbara Byrd of Morgantown; brothers, Doy McClaugherty and wife Shelia, and Tracy McClaugherty and wife Rhonda, all of Princeton; and cousin he considered a brother, Michael McClaugherty and wife Christy of Princeton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Reverend Larry Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Council and the WV National Guard Honor Guard.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday (today).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to assist with expenses be made to the funeral home.
