Billie Jean Evans, 56, of 701 Highland Avenue in Princeton, died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born August 31, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Whittaker and Ruby Pettrey Perdue.
She owned and operated a day care out of her home and worked until her health failed. Billie Jean was a member of the First Christian Church in Princeton and loved working with the children during Vacation Bible School and throughout the year in any child related activity.
Survivors include one daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Evans of Princeton; former husband and father of Ashley, Randolph Evans of Princeton; one brother, David Robertson of Princeton; one niece, Kim Nelson and husband Johnny; one nephew, David Aaron Robertson; two great-nephews, Ryan Nelson and Ethan Nelson; two great-nieces, Hannah Nelson and Jaden Robertson; and one uncle, Agee Pettrey and his wife Margaret of Russell, Ky.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Bill Pollack and the Rev. Jim Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Park Cemetery in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the service hour on Tuesday.
