Jonathan Cody Musick

BLUEFIELD, Va. — Jonathan Cody Musick, 30, of Bluefield, Virginia, passed to Heaven on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Born on September 14, 1982, in Cleveland, Virginia, he was the son of Trent Musick and the late Martha Hale Musick, with whom he is now reunited.

He grew up in Russell County, Virginia, and graduated with the class of 2000 from Lebanon High School. There he was a star athlete, “Big C", and an honor student. He also received a degree from Radford University as a distinguished student. Cody was a man of faith and a member of East End Baptist Church.

A man of many gifts, Cody had an especially compassionate heart and always wanted to go the extra mile. He was an avid Tennessee fan, fisherman, hunter, and a “fantasy” sports player. He will be greatly missed for his friendly competitive banter with friends and co-workers. He also had boundless energy and a great sense of humor.

Cody was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Robin Clark Musick and a very special Dad to his two year old son, Andon Hunter Musick. He is also survived by his “best friend” and father, Trent Musick and his wife Nancy Osborne-Musick, mother and father-in-law, Caroll and Ruth Ann Clark; brother-in-law, Devin Clark and wife Andrea; niece, Carlee Clark; step-brothers, David and Jamie Osborne and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Dave McGlothlin, Timmy Bailey, Travis Monk, Mike Watson, Todd Day, Lonnie Yates, Jimmy Whited and Pete Sleeman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Steffey and Devin Clark.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. today (Saturday), May 4, at Lebanon Community Fellowship, with Rev. Chad Lambert and Rev. Jeff Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon.

The family received friends on Friday, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the church.
