MAPLE SHADE, N.J. —
Edward E. Mills, age 82, of Maple Shade, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Born in McComas, W. Virginia, he resided in Maple Shade for the last 49 years.
Ed was a Navy Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He retired from U.S.Steel after 25 years of employment. Ed was a 5th Degree Master Black Belt, and trained under Yi's Karate school for 32 years. He earned his Master Black Belt at 60 years of age, and taught his own class on Friday nights. He thoroughly enjoyed teaching karate and his devoted students.
Beloved husband of Molly (nee Dodson) Mills, loving father of Regina (Alan) Willis of Maple Shade, dear grandfather of Craig (Melissa) Kilburn, Lauren Glover and William Willis, brother of Shelby (Aron) Asbury and Wanda (Bill) O'Neal, son of the late Alma and George Mills, brother of the late Helen and Mabel.
Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
