PRINCETON — Cecil M. “Mickey” Dickerson, 67, of Rocky Branch Road in Princeton, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at his residence after a courageous battle with numerous conditions following a serious accident two years ago.

Born January 3, 1945, in Pocahontas, Va., he was the son of the late Cecil B. and Mildred Harris Dickerson. He was a retired owner and operator of Dickerson's Garage and spent the last ten years hauling gravel. He was a friend to everyone. Mickey loved his family and friends and stood by them in times of need.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew he raised, Larry Stanley White.

Mickey is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 21 years, Sandra Hartnett Dickerson of Princeton; one daughter, Shelia Robinett and husband Jeff of Princeton; two sons, Stanley Ray Dickerson and Mickey Eugene Dickerson, both of Princeton; two grandchildren, J.D. Robinett and Laken Robinett; and special adopted grandson, Jackson “Duck” Enriquez; his former wife and mother of his children, Patty Smith of Princeton; two brothers, Ray Dickerson and companion Sue, and Cletis Dickerson and wife Linda, all of Princeton; six sisters, Linda Farmer and husband Cleo of Princeton, Brenda Sue Thomas and husband Freddy of Randleman, N.C., Bernice Vance and husband Dave, Marcella Perdue and husband David, Tiny Conner and husband Lawrence, and Shirley Richards and husband Tucker, all of Princeton; several nieces and nephews including special niece he raised as a daughter, Teresa Coffee.

In keeping with Mickey's wishes, his body has been cremated and there will be no services.
