BRISTOL, Tenn. —
Aneida Harris Black, 74, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, Tenn. She was born in Pocahontas, Va., and had lived most of her life in Bluff City.
Aneida was a member of First Baptist Church of Bluff City, where she loved her church family and her Sunday School.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray Harris and Florence Janette Head Harris. Also preceding are four brothers, Art, Sherman, Lynn, Norman (son), and Talmage; and sisters, Myrdle, Lucille, Mildred, and Jenny.
Survivors include her son, Paul Kelly Black, of Kingsport, Tenn.; daughters, Cohnie Black Harris and husband, Tom, of Rockwall, Texas, and Rhonie Black-Tyson and husband, the Reverend Doctor Maner Tyson, of Waterbury, Conn.
The family of Aneida Black received friends on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Tri-Cities Funeral Home, Blountville Chapel, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with funeral services following at 8:00 p.m. in our chapel with the Reverend Doctor Maner Tyson officiating. Graveside services were conducted on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens.
