BLUEFIELD — William James “Jimbo” Catron

BLUEFIELD — William James “Jimbo” Catron, 40, of Mason Street in Bluefield died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at his residence.

Born February 18, 1973 in Mercer County he was the son of John J. Catron of Bluefield and the late Wanda Eldena Buchanan.

He was a 1992 graduate of Bluefield High School and a construction worker. Jimbo was a member of the Mowles Baptist Church in Bluefield.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Diane Ritchie and Sharon Ann George.

Additional survivors include the love of his life, fiancé Tonesia D. Thornhill of Virginia; two daughters, Katherine Catron, of Bluefield and Analys Catron, of Princeton; four sisters, Debbie Fisher and husband Dale, of Bluefield, Karen Taylor and husband David, of Spanishburg, Wanda Wood and husband Gary, of Martinsville, Va., and Martha Thornhill and husband Steve, of Bluefield, Va.; five brothers, David W. McGlothlin and Kenneth W. McGlothlin and wife Sandy, all of Princeton, Robert L. McGlothlin, of Nemours, Mark McGlothlin and wife Chasity, of Concord, N.C., and Joe Catron, of Bluefield; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Katherine “Katie” Hager; and special church family at Mowles Baptist Church in Bluefield.

In keeping with Jimbo's wishes his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Mowles Baptist Church, Stony Ridge in Bluefield with Pastor Eddie Mabe officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 p.m., until the service hour on Saturday.
