NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. —
Born December 7, 1956 at Tazewell, VA, he was a son of the late George Lindsey Remines and Amanda Elizabeth McGuire Remines. He was a retired coal miner and an avid trout fisherman. Cannonball enjoyed mechanic work and was a great hand at fixing things.
He is survived by his wife, Gini Remines; one son, Matthew Clay Remines and wife, Rena of Princeton, WV; three stepsons, Jason Farmer and wife, Dawn of Gratton, VA, Jeremy David Blackbird of New Jersey, and T.J. Blackbird of North Tazewell, VA; five brothers, George L. Remines, Jr. of Baltimore, MD, Kenneth Eugene Remines and wife, Anna of Tazewell, VA, Luther “Chick” Remines and wife, Lisa of McDowell County, WV, Roy David Remines and wife, Debbie of Bishop, VA, and Randy Eddie Remines and Tina of North Tazewell, VA; three sisters, Irene Dean and Elizabeth Bandy and husband, Harold all of Marion, VA, and Cathy Carner and husband, Ed of North Tazewell, VA; sister-in-law, Mary “Cindy” Remines of North Tazewell, VA; four grandchildren, Conner Reese Farmer, Jennifer Nelson, Tyler Jones, and Kaitlyn Jones; and a fifth grandchild, Zoey Jacklyn Remines due in November; one great-grandchild, Aiden Nelson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Memorial services will be conducted at 6 PM Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with the Reverend Kenny Fields and the Reverend Kenny Mitchell officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 4 PM Thursday, July 10, 2014.
