WARDELL, Va. —
Sally Lucille Lowe Segner, 80, formerly of Tazewell, Virginia, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the home of her sister and caregiver, Uva Lowe Wilson of Wardell, Virginia with her family at her side.
She was a loving mother, grammy, sister, aunt and friend. She was born June 22, 1933 to the late Carl and Lucy Lowe. She was also preceded in death by her son, Richard William Burke on May 11, 2013; five brothers, Jack, Bill, Harry, Junior and Scott; and one sister, Mearl.
Survivors include daughter, Jackie R. Robinson and son-in-law Tom of Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, James Lowe of Missouri and Jim Lowe of Illinois; sisters, Uva Lowe Wilson of Wardell, Va., Leola Lowe Boardwine of Pounding Mill, Va., Norma Ruth Lowe Farrah of Tazewell, Va.; nieces, Tina Marie Wilson Beavers, Teresa Kay Puckett Street, Carolyn June Puckett Cochran; nephews, Robert Ray Wilson, Larry “Doodlebug” Lowe; great-nieces, Raylee Marie Wilson, Danyelle Brooke Wilson; great-nephew, Nathaniel Bentlee Summers, whom she loved very much; special friends, Jenny, Iris, Shirley, Janet, Marlene; a host of family and friends; and Dr. Sahyouni and staff for the care given and Legacy Hospice and Vital Care.
She will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Per her request, she was cremated. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date at the home of her sister, Uva Lowe Wilson for family and close friends with Robert R. Wilson officiating.
