Oma Jewell “June” Hill

KELLYSVILLE — Born July 16, 1929 in Union, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Dunn and Nellie Thomas Dunn.

June was Associate Pastor of the Bluefield Church of God before she retired and transferred her membership to the Kellysville Church of God where she remained a member. She enjoyed cooking for her family and writing poetry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Buckie Lee Hill; one granddaughter, Amy Sue Hill Collins; one grandson, Jimmy T. Hill, Jr.; and one sister, Thelma Bradley.

Survivors include her husband of fifty nine years, Rev. Dennie T. Hill of Kellysville; one son, Jimmy T. Hill and wife Susan of Kellysville; one daughter, Wanda Mae Helton of Abingdon, Va.; four granddaughters, Tammy June Street and husband Richard of Abingdon, Va., Hope Lynch and husband Bobby of Petersburg, Va., Sally Austin of Abingdon, Va., and Rebekah Becklehimer and husband Michael of Princeton; three grandsons, Jason W. Hill of Oakvale, David Lee Hill and wife April and Todd Hill all of Adairs Run; seventeen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and one brother, Kenneth Dunn, Jr. and wife Evelyn of Princeton.  

A celebration of June's life will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Kellysville Church of God in Kellysville, W.Va. with Rev. Franklin Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at the New Zion Cemetery, Rt. 3, Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call at the church from 11:00 AM until the service hour on Saturday. The family can be reached at the home of the son, Jimmy Hill in Kellysville.

Fredeking Funeral Service in Oakvale is serving the Hill family.
