Born December 19, 1938 in Willowton, WV she was the daughter of the late Clayton A. Miller, Sr. and Pauline Duncan Miller. Betty was a 1956 graduate of Oakvale High School, had been a resident of this area most of her life, and was of the Protestant faith. She was a retired typesetter for the Bluefield Daily Telegraph, Sunset News, and the Virginian Leader and had formerly worked for the FBI as well as being a homemaker. Betty enjoyed cross stitching and loved working with crafts and being an excellent cook she also enjoyed preparing meals for family gatherings. I
n addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, John-John Weatherly; and one sister, Peggy Ames.
Survivors include her husband of fifty four years, John C. Weatherly of Adair's Run; one daughter, Kimberly Robertson and husband David of New Park, PA; one son, Chris Weatherly and wife Sherry of Fairmont, WV; three grandchildren, Corey Robert Robertson and wife Jennifer of Felton, PA, Jenna Weatherly, and Jessie Rose Weatherly both of Fairmont, WV; three great-grandchildren, Liam Robertson, Noah Robertson, and Evan Robertson all of Felton, PA; one sister, Judy Brown and husband Edwin of Roanoke, VA; and one brother, Clayton A. “Joe” Miller, Jr. and wife Kathy of Winston-Salem, NC.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Rev. Tony Reed officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at Fredeking Funeral Service in Oakvale from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2013 (today).
Those attending the graveside service on Saturday are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m.
