BLUEFIELD, Va. —
Daniel Franklin Tignor, age 67 of Bluefield, Va. died Friday, July 19, 2013 at his summer home in Chesterfield, S.C. Born March 9, 1946 in Washington County, Va., he was a son of Arin White and the late Sylvia White. He was preceded by his father, Acie Tignor. He was a coal miner for many years and later worked for and retired from Tazewell County Public Schools.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Caran Lou Evans Tignor; his dad, Arin White; one son, Daniel Tignor; six daughters, Becky McCall, Rhonda Aliff and husband, John, Lisa Reep, Connie Bryan and husband, Gary, Angie Coombes, and Misti Tignor; one sister, Shirley Heffernan; four brothers, Ronnie Tignor, Roger Tignor, Bobby Tignor, and Junior White; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2013 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
