ABINGDON, Va. — Danny Ray Davidson, 53, passed away Monday, April 10, 2006 at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Danny was residing in Abingdon, but was formerly of Tazewell, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Cora Davidson; a son, Jason Ray Davidson; and a brother, David Davidson.
He was a retired coal miner from Consolidated Coal Company with 20 years of service. He was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Debbie Davidson of Abingdon; his daughter, Amanda Davidson and fiancé Joe Nelson of Abingdon; his son, Justin Davidson and wife Sheena of Bristol, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Lexie, Llaken and Tea’; his sisters, Peggy Sanderson of Claremont, N.C. and Phyllis Shaneburger of Richmond, Va.; his brother, Larry Davidson of Tazewell; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2006 in Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. with Mr. James Ling officiating.

BRAMWELL— Jessie Frances “Pom” Hill Eller, 87, of P.O. Box 221, Bramwell 24715, passed away peacefully at Bluefield Regional Medical Center, Bluefield on Monday, April 10, 2006.
She was born on June 24, 1918 in Bramwell to the late Jesse Franklin Hill and Maude McBride Hill. Mrs. Eller was a lifelong resident of Bramwell and a member of the Bluewell United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two children, a daughter, Janet Lee Gomez Yanis and a son, Warren Clark “Bill” Eller; one brother, Clifton Hill; and three sisters, Mamie Bailey, Charlotte Boyd, and Louise Goodson.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 70 years, Robert L. Eller of Bramwell; daughter, Beverly Aker and husband Earl of Elizabethtown, Ky.; sons, Robert Michael Eller and wife Kelly of Bramwell, and Wesley Eller and friend Cindy Dalton of Princeton. Brothers are Hugh Hill of Columbus, Ohio, and Lindy Hill of Highland Springs, Va. Sisters are Ency Allen of Bramwell, and June Bailey and husband Leonard of Bluefield.

BANDY, Va. — Carrie Ruth Perdue Hamm, 62, of the Grassy Spur section of Bandy, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2006 at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was born at Tazewell, Va. and was the daughter of the late William Harrison and Annie Mae Arms Perdue.
She had made her home in Tazewell County her entire life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was the widow of Paul Thomas Hamm Sr. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Hamm and grandsons, Evan and Kevin Brewster.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Sue Jones; four sisters, Cora Smith, Elizabeth Evans, Gladys Shankle, and Letha Smith; two brothers, Ewing Sopsher and James Sopsher.

BLUEFIELD, Va.— Thomas Keith Martin, of 203 Graham Manor, Bluefield, Va., died Monday, April 10, 2006, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Va.
He was born Feb. 10, 1966 in Princeton.
Keith’s proudest moment was his graduation from Graham High School in 1987. Keith had lived with multiple physical disabilities his entire life, and fought a courageous and inspiring battle in order to live a happy and fulfilled life.
Keith was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Vesper and Fay Martin of Athens; his maternal grandparents, Walter and Delphia White Allen, formerly of Welch; and an uncle, William A. White, Bluefield.
Keith is survived by his loving mother and caregiver, Glenna White Martin of Bluefield, Va.; his father and stepmother, Robert and Dianne Martin of Bluefield; a sister and brother in law, Linda Martin Busic and David of Roanoke, Va.; a nephew and niece, Steven and Kellie Busic, who were his pride and joy; several aunts and uncles and a host of cousins; a special uncle and aunt, Tom and Kay White of Princeton; special friends, Ronnie and Julie Mullins of Bluefield, and Cliff Dickerson of Princeton; his e-mail buddies; and his friends and neighbors at Graham Manor who were a great source of joy and companionship during his 20 years of being a proud, independent resident there.

Born Feb. 11, 1911 in Buchanan County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Mack and Jenny Sayers Osborne. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith having attended the Fork Ridge House of Prayer for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elee Messick; three brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Juanita Stafford and Beulah Armes both of Columbus, Ga., and Carol Keen and husband Roger of Baptist Valley, Va.; three sons, Hallie Messick and wife Doris of Doran, Va., Randel Messick and wife Shirley of Cahokia, Ill., and Joe Messick and wife Louise of Goldsboro, N.C.; one sister, Dacie Burke of Marvin, Va.; three brothers, Robert Osborne of Marvin, Elmer Osborne of Mt. Born Feb. 29, 1952 in Keystone, he was the son of Velma Angel Scott of Poca near Charleston, formerly of Burke Mountain, and the late Payton Scott. He was a graduate of Northfork High School. He was a disabled coal miner from Eastern Associated Coal Co. Keystone No. 1, and Peabody Coal Co. in Boone County. He was affiliated with the Baptist faith, and was a resident of the Keystone/Burke Mountain area all his life.
Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Survivors include: One daughter, Melissa Parks and husband Joe of Bluefield; one son, Jerry Scott Jr. and companion Tanya of Burke Mountain; four brothers, Larry Scott and wife Betty of Keystone, Johnny Scott of Burke Mountain, Gary Scott and wife Marti of Crumpler, Mark Scott and wife Anna of Sandlick; one sister, Barbara Rhodes of Poca near Charleston; former spouse and friend, Edina Burnette of Tazewell, Va.; three grandchildren, Zachary Parks, McKenna Parks, and McCabe Rotenberry; several nieces and nephews.
