Hancel Mullins

PRINCETON — Hancel Mullins, 75, of Goodwin's Chapel Road in Princeton, died Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, N.C. Born December 19, 1937 in Davy, W.Va., he was the son of the late Kelly Mullins and Rosie Walker Mullins.

Hancel was a retired construction worker and of the Baptist faith. He had been a resident of Princeton since 1984 moving here from Davy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Hallie Patrick, Neville Blaylock, Shelby Steele, and Nannie Richards; and three brothers, Hubert Mullins, Frank Mullins, and Kelly Mullins Jr.

Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Wanda Shelton Mullins of Princeton; two sons, Martin Wesley Mullins and wife Pam of Princeton and Danny Lee Mullins of Lincoln, Neb.; two stepchildren, Donald Bishop and wife Andrea of Anchorage, Alaska and Donna Engrem of Winston Salem, N.C.; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Mullins and wife Darnell and Richard Mullins and wife Shelby Jean all of Princeton; and two sisters, Freda Henderson of Princeton and Louise Worthington of Davy, W.Va.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Olen Robertson and the Rev. Kevin Farmer officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton. Serving as pallbearers will be Wesley Rakes, Glen Allen Mullins, Robert Allen Mullins, Richard Mullins Jr., Brian Worthington, Kermit Steele, Freddy Freeman, and Riley Engrem.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the service hour on Thursday.
