Glenn R. Miller

NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. — Glenn R. Miller of North Tazewell, VA was born October 20, 1950 in Welch, WV and went home to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at his home. He was a son of the late Buster L and Mildred Johnston Miller. He was a machinist by trade for more than forty years. He loved to hunt and work outdoors. He attended the Mudfork Church of Christ and truly loved the congregation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Buster Miller Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Brenda Hayes Miller; his daughter, Christy Young and husband David of N. Tazewell, VA; his son, Dr. Glenn Adam Miller of Melbourne, FL; his grandson, Jason Young of Dublin, VA; his great-granddaughter, Ameerah Garcia; brothers, Harold Miller and Nick Miller of Bluefield, Danny Miller of Princeton, WV; sisters, Delsia Dillon of Jenkinjones, WV, Wanda Coe and Nancy Palmer of Bluewell, WV and father, mother sister and brother-in-laws who were very meaningful in his life and whose love and support has been without limits.

A service to celebrate Mr. Miller’s life will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Lay Minister Steve Moran and Pastor Jim Horn officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens. Kenneth Starling, Nick Robertson, Roger Hurt, David Ramsey, Pete Heffinger, David Burgess, Todd Musick and Ron Richards will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Denver Akers and David Brewster, whose love and support cannot be measured.

Friends may visit with the Miller family Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blueridge College of Evangelism, PO Box 979, Wytheville, VA 24382.
