BESSEMER, Ala. —
Born in Welch, W.Va., he was the son of the late Ira H. Christian, Sr. and Eunice Hilton. He was a veteran of the United States Marines and served during the Vietnam War. He was a former Member of the United Mine Worker’s of America and was a Christian. Carson was employed with Cliffs Natural Resources in Oak Grove, Alabama as a foreman.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother Ira Christian, Jr.
Survivors include three sons, Carson E. Hilton, Jr. of Pulaski, Va., Eugene G. Hilton and wife Samantha of Bluefield, Va., and David Allen Hilton of Cedar Bluff, Va.; one daughter, Dorothy Hilton and her partner Tina Lamb of Pulaski, Va.; three grandchildren, Alexis and Kameryn Hilton of Pulaski, Va., and Kaden Hilton of Bluefield, Va.; three brothers, Roger Christian and wife Joyce of North Tazewell, Va., Ray Hilton and wife Marie of Pulaski, Va., and Ralph Christian and wife Betty of Pulaski, Va.; four sisters, Charlotte Christian of Abingdon, Va., Dorothy Hardy of War, W.Va., Dreama Charron and husband Jack of Maryland and Gertrude Lane and husband Barry of Pulaski, Va.; a special mother, Betty Daughtery of Abb’s Valley, Va., and a special sister, Veronica Daughtery of Abb’s Valley, Va.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Va., with the Rev. Reginald Blakewood officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Bluefield, WV. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Va. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
