GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas —
He was born April 13, 1928 in Marvin, Virginia and was the son of the late George W. and Pearl Keen Horn.
Henry was an avid aviator, flying private planes. He landed the first private airplane for the Grand Prairie Municipal Airport in 1968. Henry was a great friend who was generous in a thousand ways. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Juanita Fuller Horn, who passed away in 1999; three sisters, Ruth Steele Messer, Beatrice Keen, and Martha Ellen Horn; and four brothers, Ed, Leonard, Emery, and Andy Horn; and several nieces and nephews.
Survivors are: son: Dr. Leland C. Horn, Lt. Col, USAF (Ret.) and his wife, Susan of Garland, Texas; grandson: Jason Horn and wife, Angel; brother: Clyde J. Horn of Claypool Hill, Virginia; sisters: Beulah Vandyke of Contrary, Virginia and Betty Carol Horne of Wytheville, Virginia.
Graveside services for Henry Charles Horn will be conducted Friday, June 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas.
