Carl Leander Gilley, 44, of Matoaka, died Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born September 13, 1968 in Princeton, he was the son of the late George Dewey Gilley and Joan F. Pendergrass Gilley.
Mr. Gilley was a faithful member of Bailey Memorial Baptist Church at Giatto.
Survivors include two brothers, Dwayne Gilley of Matoaka and Clyde Dunfee and his wife Tammy of Princeton; four sisters, Norma Bell and her husband Milo of Matoaka, Crystal Earle and her husband Brian of Princeton, Priscilla Farmer and her husband David of Lashmeet and Cozzettie Farmer of Spanishburg; and several nieces and nephews, including Kimberly Gilley, Sarah Ernest and Daniel Ernest all of Matoaka.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Bailey Memorial Baptist Church at Giatto with Pastor Larry Akers officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until service hour at the church.
