Jean Edward Milligan

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. —  Jean Edward Milligan, 81, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Princeton, died Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Ft. Pierce, Fla. Born August 26, 1929 in Whitman, W.Va., he was the son of the late Edward VanDorn Milligan and Rebecca Rice Milligan. Jean was a retired accountant and a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member and former Deacon of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Princeton. He was an avid golfer in his younger years and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie, Fla. for the past year moving there from Princeton. In addition to his parents, six brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Euna Ransom Milligan of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; one daughter, Joyce Hibser and husband Roy of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two grandchildren, Kelly Beason and wife Brittany of Stuart, Fla. and Kerri Beason of Huntsville, Ala.; and several step brothers and sisters including Tim Milligan of Chapmanville, W.Va.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 25, 2011 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Reverend Dan Jividen officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, W.Va. with the West Virginia National Guard Honor Guard conducting military graveside rites. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2011.
