RICHLANDS, Va. —
Emma Jane Crawford Hale, age 86, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 in a Richlands, Virginia hospital.
She was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Vernie and Audrie Cox Crawford.
She was a life long resident of the Richlands area and was a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church. She was a Richlands High School Class of 1945 graduate.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Harold Hale.
Survivors are: Two sons: Tommy (Thomas) Hale of Richlands, Virginia, Bobby (Robert) Hale of Wardell, Virginia. Six grandchildren: Amanda Hale Trent, Christa Cordle, Jason Hale, Corey Hale, Benjamin Hale, and Ally-Grace Hale. Four great-grandchildren: Timothy Puckett, Hailey Cordle, Hadyn Hale, and Kaci Hale: One sister: Wilma Crawford Matney and husband, J.C. “Don” of Claypool Hill, Virginia. One brother: Billy Crawford of Castlewood, Virginia.
Funeral services for Emma Jane Hale will be conducted Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 12 Noon at the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Stafford Compton officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Mike Matney, Jack Jesse, Timothy Puckett, Tommy Hale, Jason Hale, and Joseph Swann, III. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Terry Wess, Don Matney, Bill Hale, Billy Crawford, and Jim Boyd and members of Gethsemane Baptist Church and her neighbors on Burnette Street.
