POUNDING MILL, Va —
Born September 23, 1943 in Tazewell County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Garrett and Lillian Hall Stevens. She was a graduate of Richlands High School Class of 1960. She was a member of Cedar Bluff Community Church. She had taught Sunday School at Cedar Bluff Community Church and several other churches for many years. She had helped many to know the Lord. She was a retired warden’s secretary at Keen Mountain Correctional Facility.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant brother.
She is survived by her husband, William (Creed) Bryant; one daughter, Bethany Collins and husband Jeremy of Richlands, VA; one sister, Suzanne Russell Barnett of Monroe, LA; special friends, Mary Sue Dean of Pounding Mill, VA and Linda Norman Nixon of Bristol, VA; godson, Mike Mosley and wife Terri; grandchildren, Colton Collins, Michaela Mosley and Jackson Mosley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Virginia with Rev. Richard Smith and Rev. Rusty Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Adam Collins, Chris Whitt, Steve Conn, Jim Tatum, Scott Church, Steven Tatum, Tim Jessee, and Chris Grindstaff. Honorary pallbearers will be men of Cedar Bluff Community Church and Jim Nixon.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Singleton Funeral Service at Cedar Bluff, Virginia.
