James Arthur “Jimmy” Greene

— PRINCETON — James Arthur “Jimmy” Greene, 64 of Ingleside Road, Princeton died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born in Bluefield on July 20, 1946 he was the son of the late Marshall Woodrow and Agnes Maine Richardson Greene.

Jimmy previously worked for Double Cola, Rocky Top Beverage and Pepsi Bottling. He was a member of the Oakvale United Methodist Church and was an honorary member of the Bluefield Moose Lodge No. 1079.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Mable Greene.

Survivors include his son, Guy E. Greene and his wife Sherrika and their children, Austin, Seth and Guiana of Charlottesville, Va.; three brothers, Marshall Douglas Greene of Vinton, Donnie and Ronnie Greene; nephews, David, Davey and Mark Greene; nieces, Amy Minnix and Laura Levers; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Loretta Day; special friends, Nathan Proffitt, Conrad Jenkins and Dallas Hylton.

Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Ceres with Pastor Kevin Farmer officiating. Friends may call at the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jimmy's honor may be made to the Bluefield Moose Lodge No. 1079, c/o Phyllis Ruble, 1400 Roy Avenue, Bluefield, WV 24701
