Thomas Lonnie Cochran Jr., age 63, of Switchback, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Friday morning, June 14, 2013, at Bluefield Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Born January 11, 1950 in Eckman, W.Va., he was the son of the late Thomas J. Cochran and Virginia Hartley Cochran.
He was affiliated with the Church of God faith. He was a disabled coal miner, and was a resident of Switchback most of his life.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Also several brothers and sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His wife of 41 years, Sandra Crigger Cochran of the home; his son, Thomas Johnny Cochran III and wife Brittany of Summers County, W.Va.; two daughters, Lora Kay Cox of Switchback, W.Va. and Tammy Leigh Sizemore of Tazewell, Va.; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Jeffery Cochran and wife Brenda of Princeton, W.Va. and Larry Cochran of Roanoke, Va.; two sisters, Robin Shockley and husband Mike of Princeton, W.Va. and Linda Clemons of Princeton, W.Va. Also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 17, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Widener Funeral Home Chapel, Northfork, W.Va. with the Rev. Kenneth Abram officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluewell, W.Va.
Friends may call Monday at the Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the hour of service.
Serving as pallbearers will be friends and family.
