BLAND, Va. —
William Henry “Bill” Burcham, age 68, of Bland, Va., passed away Friday, May 10th, 2013 at his residence. He was born January 29th, 1945 in Bluefield, West Virginia, the son of the late Henry Thornton and Mildred Bailey Burcham.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Hourihane and a brother, Roger Burcham.
Bill is survived by: His wife, Clayetta Burcham of the home; a daughter, Tania Emerson of Bland, Va.; a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Nanni Burcham of Fayetteville, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Linkins of Whispering Pines, N.C., Rosalyn Rivas of Lebanon, Va.; four grandsons, Daniel Burcham of Fayetteville, Tenn., Benjamin Burcham of Harrison, Ark., Brent Emerson of Tazewell, Va., Austin Emerson of Bland, Va.; like a grandson, Adam Baker of Bland, Va.; two great-granddaughters, Haley Emerson and Lexie Emerson both of Bland, Va. A host of close family and friends also survive.
The funeral service will be held Monday, May 13th at 2:00 p.m. at the Bastian Union Church in Bastian, Va., with the Rev. Paul Looney officiating. Burial will follow at the Morning Star Cemetery in Bland, Va.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Bastian Union Church.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to the Bastian Union Church Building Fund.
