FREDERICKSBURG, Va. —
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Jayne Elizabeth Marshall, 69 of Fredericksburg, Va., died on Thursday, April 18, 2013 in Fairfax, Va.
Born October 12, 1943 in Princeton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James Marvin and Ruby Elizabeth Gadd Marshall.
Jayne graduated from Concord College (now Concord University) in Athens, W.Va., in 1965 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Education. She was a very proud member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority while attending college. She later did Graduate Studies at Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va. Her teaching career spanned over 30 years, beginning in Pensacola, Fla. and ending in 1998 in Fredericksburg, Va.
Jayne dearly loved the beach and was one of the only places she found peace on this side of heaven. She also loved animals.
She is survived by her two sons, Bryan and his wife Leonora and Troy Reynolds and his wife Diane; two grandchildren, Keeley and Gavin; one brother, Keith Marshall and his wife Martha. Her “sisters” (lifelong friends), Jane Pinson, Sue Nesbit and Brenda Brohard.
The family has honored her request that she be cremated. Her wishes were to have her ashes spread in the ocean which will take place later this fall in Nags Head, N.C.
