Lillie Mae Lambert, 86, of The Maples, Bluefield, WV, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 26, 1927 in Jonesville, VA and was the daughter of the late George and Rosa Freeman Gibson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Eugene Lambert; sisters, Mossy Miller, Lorraine Smith, Vertie Markmen, and Myrtle Fisher; brother, Claude Gibson; son-in-law, David Nipper; grandson, Coy Wooldridge.
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa “Susie” Nipper of Bluefield, VA and Eunice Lusk Sarver and husband Pete of Princeton, WV; nephew, Albert Miller and wife Gail of Rocky Gap, VA; grandchildren, Joey Nipper, Kayla Nipper, both of Bluefield, VA and Joshua Wooldridge and wife Brittany of Roanoke, VA; sister-in-law, Jean Lusk of Bluefield, VA. Out of courtesy and respect, Mrs. Lambert’s family would like to acknowledge the existence of an extended family whose name and locations are unknown.
Mrs. Lambert had suffered with Alzheimer’s for several years, and although the details of her life may be unknown to her family, she was known and loved by the One who created her.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, August 25, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va. with the Rev. Larry Lusk officiating. Her body has been cremated and there will be a private family burial at a later date.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. until hour of the service.
