BURKE’S GARDEN, Va —
Owen Russ “Rusty” Lampert, age 58, a lifetime resident of Burke's Garden, Va., died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Burke's Garden, Va. Born August 23, 1954 at Clearfork in Tazewell County, Va., he was a son of the late Vernol Lee Lampert and Phyllis Gay Bourne Lampert.
He was of the Presbyterian faith. Mr. Lampert was employed with MBC Ranch of Burke's Garden, Va. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He was especially looking forward to the upcoming deer season.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Lampert; one son, Stanley Lampert and wife, Kellie of Richlands, Va.; special granddaughter, Brooke Lampert; half brother, Christopher Pauley of West Virginia; several special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. with Pastor Bill Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the Central Church Cemetery in Burke's Garden, Va. Pallbearers will be John Rhudy, Andy McCann, Gregory Childress, Jimmy Roberts, Tommy Hancock, Timmy Hancock, and Stanley Hancock Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Garland Hancock, Mark Maxfield, Jim Harman, Stanley Hancock Sr., Bob Brown, and Wayne Acord.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday.
