CHINA GROVE, N.C. —
Ida Frances Viers, 95, of China Grove, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 after an extended illness.
She was born December 16, 1917 in Buchanan County, Va. to Howard and Sarah Matney Keen. She was a homemaker and was very proud of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hansel Edward Viers; a son, Thomas Brooks; five sisters, Emma, Gussie, Elizabeth, Patty, and Lottie; two brothers, Bascom and Henry.
She is survived by a daughter, Claudette Miller of Okeechobee, Fla.; a brother, Jim Keen of Virginia; 11 grandchildren; 11-plus great-grandchildren, 13-plus great-great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Cedar Bluff, Va. with Pastor Chris White officiating.
