Margaret H. Short, 92, of 453 Halls Ridge Road, Princeton, died Friday, October 26, 2012, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born in McComas, W.Va., February 28, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Emily Evans Parsell.
Margaret was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Princeton. She was a graduate of McComas High School and had been a resident of Princeton since 1963 moving here from Mullens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Nelson Short Sr. and daughters-in-law, Alena Short and Linda Short.
She is survived by two sons, Nelson Short and wife Kathy and Charles S. Short, all of Princeton; four granddaughters, Renee Short, Amy Short Burnette, Stacy Short Harris and Amy Lester; seven great-granddaughters and one great-great-grandson; brothers-in-law, Jewel Short of Bluefield and Harry Short and wife Deenie of Woodbridge, Va.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2012, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Chaplain Mike Forbes officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call from 12:00 noon until the service hour Monday at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton.
