OAKWOOD, Va. —
Sandy P. Cook, age 65, of Oakwood, Va., passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012.
Born January 3, 1947 in Newport News, Va., she was the daughter of William J. Paschall of Charlotte, N.C. and the late Helen Richards Paschall. She was a member of Garden United Methodist Church and was very active in the Bible Study Group. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 44 years, Perry Cook; one daughter, Kristen Wood of Bristol, Tenn.; one granddaughter, Ella Perry Wood of Bristol, Tenn.; one sister, Debi Hawkins and husband Dean of Wilmington, N.C.; one niece, Heather Ivady and husband Jason of Wilmington, N.C.; one great-nephew, Cole Ivady of Wilmington, N.C.; many special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Va. with the Rev. Tom Witten officiating. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at the McGlothlin Family Cemetery at Garden Creek, Va. Pallbearers will be Glenn Cook, Rob Hurt, Nathan Martin, Jason Cook, Derek Keen, J.D. Lowe, Lee Perkins and Ernie Lowe. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Nicar, Brock Darden, Dean Hawkins, Jason Ivady, Bob Biggerstaff and Bill Miller. Those attending the graveside service are requested to meet at the cemetery.
