Alfred L. Wickline, 77, of Shadowood Lane, Princeton, died peacefully late Wednesday night, November 6, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
Born June 27, 1936 at Weikle, WV, he was the son of the late Virgil Wickline and Georgia Wickline.
Al was a graduate of Greenville High School in Monroe County and Bluefield State College.
He was a former employee for Hart Electric, R & T Electric, Joy Manufacturing and the former owner of Abbs Valley Electric. Al was currently the owner of Belinda's Flowers on the Oakvale Road in Princeton.
While his health permitted, he was an avid golfer. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge #1459, Princeton and the Mercer Lodge #85 AF & AM of Bluefield.
Al was a member of Kee Street United Methodist Church in Princeton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings: Elvin, Leonard, Conley and Newman Wickline, Polly Riggs and Goldie Williams.
He will be lovingly remembered by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Lilly Mae Thornton Wickline; two daughters, Belinda Pendleton and husband Ed of Columbus, IN, Bonita Belcher and husband Mike of Princeton; grandchildren, Michelle Gilbert and husband Clark, Jamie Taylor and fiancé Norm Vaughn; and the Apple of Poppy's eye, his great-granddaughter, Jacelyn Taylor. Two siblings, Frankie Wickline and wife Ona of Greenville, Bonnie Davis of Beckley. A host of nieces and nephews. Special friends, Nick and Drema Comerose.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, November 9, 2013 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Ray Stonesteet officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family Saturday from 1:30 PM until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
