POUNDING MILL, Va. — Mrs. Eleanor Tegeler, age 82, of Pounding Mill, VA passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 following an extended illness. Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Raymond Earl Baur and Edith Mae West Baur.

Eleanor spent her life working with children and youth, Camp Evangel and Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Jim Baur and Bill Cooper; two sisters Edith Baur Gleason and Gladys Baur Uber and a daughter-in- law Teresa Tegeler.

Mrs. Tegeler is survived by her loving husband Rev. Carl Tegeler; four sons Samuel Tegeler and wife Nancy of Pounding Mill, VA; Stephen Tegeler and wife Brenda of Pounding Mill, VA; John Tegeler and wife April of Charlotte, NC and James Tegeler of Greenville, SC; two daughters Patty Tegeler of Pounding Mill, VA and Sandra Bowyer and husband Kenneth of Natalia, TX; two sisters Ida Baur Wells of Massachusetts and Mary Cooper Greene of Pennsylvania; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service for Mrs. Eleanor Tegeler will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 25, 2013 in the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff, VA with the Rev. Earl Vanover officiating. Entombment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool Hill, VA. Men of Claypool Hill Bible Church will serve as pallbearers.

It was Eleanor’s wishes that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Claypool Hill Bible Church, P.O. Box 265, Pounding Mill, VA. 24637.
