PRINCETON — Darrell Eugene Torres age 59 of 178 Delaney St., Princeton, W.Va. formerly of Eckman, W.Va. went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 14, 2013, at his residence after a long illness. Born October 7, 1954 in Welch, W.Vs. he was the son of the late, Theadore Torres and Thelma Louise Rotenberry Torres. Darrell was affiliated with the Church of God Faith, he was employed with the Deskins Super Market in Welch, W.V. for several years as Assistant Manager, he was last employed as Assistant Manager for Maybeury Food Mart, Maybeury, W.Va. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Darlene Arrington Torres in 1995, three brothers Clarence Allen Torres, Steven Dewayne Torres, and Michael Dale Torres. Also his Paternal and Maternal Grandparents. He leaves to cherish his memory: a daughter, Alicia Leanne Torres of Critz, Va.; one brother, Kenneth Lee Torres and wife, Sue of Abbs Valley, Va.; one aunt, Georgia Owens of Keystone, W.Va.; also several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Widener Funeral Home Chapel, Northfork, W.Va. with the Rev. Kenneth Abram officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluewell, W.Va. Friends may call on Wednesday night at the Widener Funeral Home, Northfork, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Kenneth Allen Torres, Kevin Lee Torres, Michael Allen Torres, Gregory Booth, and Colbert Mullis Jr. Serving as Honorary Pallbearer will be Jim Widener Jr.
