NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. —
Irene Delores Glover, age 80, of the Baptist Valley community in North Tazewell, VA passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at her home. Born September 17, 1932 in Skelton, WV, she was a daughter of the late Leslie Clarence Williams and Hallie Underwood Williams.
She was a member of the Love of Jesus Tabernacle at Adria, VA. Mrs. Glover loved going to church and playing video games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia Hess and Betty Austin.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet Kennedy of Gadsden, AL and Geraldine Puckett and husband, Danny of the Baptist Valley community in North Tazewell, VA; two sons, Leslie Glover and wife, Vivian of Cedar Bluff, VA and Gerald Glover of Alcoa, FL; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with her son-in-law, Pastor Danny Puckett officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Pallbearers will be Joey Puckett, Tommy Puckett, J.B. Crawford, Robert Keen, Joe Keen, Gerald Glover, Jr., Randy Keen, and James Asbury.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 12:00 noon on Sunday, September 8, 2013.
