Carlos “Dean” Bowman, age 52 of Squire, WV died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at his home. Born May 29, 1961 in Welch, WV he was a son of the late Howard and Mildred Perkins Bowman.
He loved God and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Dean loved being outdoors and tending to his chickens. His biggest joy in life was being with and playing with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Geneva Lynn Bowman; two brothers in law, Carlos Baker and Kenneth Baker.
He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Margaret Bowman who was his everything; three children, Tony Keene of Concord, NH, Jason Bowman and wife, Crystalene of War, WV, and Felicia Curry and husband, Randy of Dry Fork, VA; two sisters, Carolyn Baker of Dry Fork, VA and Lois Tunnell and husband, J.B. of Bandy, VA; three brothers, Roy Harmon and wife, Joyce of North Tazewell, VA, William Bowman and wife, Shirley of Tazewell, VA, and Randall Bowman and wife, Teresa of Boissevain, VA; grandchildren, Logan Keene, Gideon Keene, Kylie Keene, Evan Curry and Gage Curry; special step grandchildren, Nyoka Davis and Logan Davis; special friends who were like brothers, Eddie Mundy, Adam Henley, Lonnie Baker, Johnny Estep, David Perkins, and Carlo Perkins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM today (Friday), August 30, 2013 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with Pastors Gary Hicks and Wilmer Muncy. Burial will follow at Perkins Cemetery at Whittaker Ridge in McDowell County, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.
