Robert G. “Bobby” Heins, 65, of Morning Star Street, Princeton, died peacefully Wednesday afternoon, November 13, 2013 at his residence.
Born July 4, 1948, in Knoxville, TN, he was the son of the late Gordon Heins and Oretha Redden Hunt.
For many years, Bobby was an employee of Redden Realty & Construction Company. He was a member of the First Christian Church on Straley Avenue in Princeton.
Many people knew Bobby as an avid roller skater. He worked for many years as a skate floor guard at Skateland Skating Rink in Princeton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sonia Larue.
Survivors include his daughter, Selena Kanode, 3 grandchildren, Dakota Burgess, Devon Kanode and Jasmine Kanode. One brother, Gary Hunt, Sr. of Manassas, VA. His niece and primary care giver, Connie Craghead and husband Phillip of Bluewell. Nephews, Reggie Shrader and wife April of WI, Gary Hunt Jr. and wife Kim, Emit Hunt and wife Tiffany, niece, Selena Smith and husband Craig all of Manassas, VA; 11 great-nephews and nieces. Special family friends, Randall and Patty Dawson of Princeton and his two faithful 4 legged companions, Lulu and Lucky. A host of uncles and aunts.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM today (Saturday), November 16, 2013 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor William Pollack officiating. Burial will follow in the Athens Cemetery in Athens.
Friends may visit with the family today (Saturday) from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at the funeral home.
