Flora Jacqueline (Jackie) Lively, 57, of Bluefield, WV, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 15, 2013.
Jackie was born on February 15, 1956, in Iaeger, WV. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Earl Thomas and Gertrude R. Lively and sisters, Ruby Helen Lively and Alice Marie Lively.
Left to cherish her memory are sister, Rita L. Davis and husband, Clay; brothers, Tommy Lively and wife Stella and Marvin Lively and his companion Kim, all of Bluefield, WV; nephews, Michael Lively and Kristopher Gibson; niece, Melissa Sesco and husband Lynn; great-niece, Tori Sesco; great-nephews, Gabe Sesco and Colton Lively; one aunt, Ann Addair; and many cousins. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Jackie graduated from Bluefield High School in 1974, and became a cosmetologist after attending Little French Beauty Academy in Bluefield, WV. She was family-oriented and loved to be with children and the elderly. She enjoyed reading, walking with her brother, playing games, dancing, music and working in her yard. She has always been a loving, giving, caring person. She was a Candy Striper, baby-sitter, loving caregiver and a dedicated hardworking person at home and in her career. She began working at the age of 16 in retail. She was a faithful, dedicated hairstylist at MS and HIS Hair Fashions for over 35 years. She loved her customers and took personal interest in each and every one of them; and they loved her in return. There are many words that can be used to describe Jackie; but the words of the Bible say it the best. Exodus 20:12 'Honor your Father and Mother'; Proverbs 17:17 'A true friend shows love at all times, and is brother who is born for times of distress'; Proverbs 31:26 'She opens her mouth in wisdom; the law of kindness in on her tongue.'; Acts 20:35 'There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving'; and Colossians 3:12-14 'Clothe yourselves with the tender affections of compassion, kindness, humility, mildness, and patience. Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely. Clothe yourselves with love, for it is a perfect bond of union.'
