TAZEWELL, Va. —
Nanola Howery Hagy, age 95 of Tazewell, VA passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 in Naples, FL. Born July 17, 1918 in Tazewell County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Robert Dennis Howery and Mary Virginia Young Howery.
Mrs. Hagy and family lived in Bluefield, VA for many years. The last seven years she has been in assisted living near Naples, FL. She was a member of Tazewell Christian Church in Tazewell, VA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jefferson “Jeff” Hagy; one daughter, Sandra Kay Hagy; four sisters, Gin Harris, Margaret Coon, Mary Ruth Thompson, and Nell Hagy; three brothers, Joseph Howery, Jack Howery, and Billy Reese Howery.
She is survived by her son, Donald Wayne Hagy and wife, Bonnie of Tazewell, VA; daughter, Billie Jean Campbell and husband, Ted of Naples, FL; grandson, Jeff Campbell of Cornelius, NC; granddaughter, Amanda Campbell of Charlotte, NC; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Corell of Tazewell, VA and Mamie Bucklen of Saugerties, NY; one brother, R. Dennis Howery of Roanoke, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Monday, October 14, 2013 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA with the Reverend Henry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Pallbearers will be Bob Corell, Jerry Bucklen, Alton Burnette, Art Beeler, William P. “Billy” Altizer, and Jeff Campbell.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 PM Sunday, October 13, 2013.
