NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. —
Eleanor Louise Henegar, age 77, of North Tazewell, Va., died Friday, March 8, 2013 at Grace Health Care in Abingdon, Va. Born April 29, 1935 in West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Leroy Pennington and Myrneth Akens Pennington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Allen Henegar; one son, Ricky Henegar; grandson, David Lee Henegar; three sisters, Carrie Bundy, Hazel Herald, and Effie Blackwell; four brothers, Buddy Pennington, James E. Pennington, C.D. Pennington, and Fred Pennington.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna Holliday and husband, Bill of Damascus, Va.; five grandchildren, Aaron Street of Charlotte, N.C., Kayla Holliday, of Damascus, Va., LaTessa Henegar, Ray Dean Henegar, and Shealee Henegar all of South Carolina; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Wilburn and husband, Harold Wilburn Jr., Josephine Fletcher and husband, Delbert all of North Tazewell, Va., and Alberta Cowan and husband, Dudley of Tazewell, Va.; sister-in-law, Joann Bigby and husband, Ken of Oregon; brother-in-law, Jimmy Earls and wife, Shirley of North Tazewell, Va.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. where funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. with Pastor Brian Mullins officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va.
