VANSANT, Va. —
Nila Faye Day Anderson Coleman, went to be with the Lord, April 15, 2013 age 68 in Abingdon, Va., after a short illness.
Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Augustus and Carrie Day formerly of Harman then Rosedale, Va. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of the Little Martha Old Regular Baptist Church of Leemaster, Va. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker and caregiver.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Fred Anderson; two sisters: Martha Day Cartmell and Shelia Carrie Day; three brothers: James E Day Sr., Walter Kyle Day and Glenn Harley Day.
She is survived by husband: Ralph Coleman of Vansant, Va.; one daughter: Susan Renee Anderson of Vansant, Va.; one son: James Lee Anderson, daughter-in-law Jolene Anderson of Knoxville, Tenn.; one sister: Patty Day Salyers of Bristol, Tenn.; one twin brother: Billy Ray Day of Bristol, Tenn. Also, survived by four stepchildren: Jr. of Abingdon, Mark of Roanoke and Brad Coleman and wife Melissa of Tazewell, Belissa Dales and husband Allen of Grundy, Va.; three grandchildren: Brittany, Dominque and Nicholas; eight step-grandchildren: Braden, Ben, Maddie, Riley, Brandee, Anna, Tori and Destinee.
Funeral Services for Nila Faye Day Anderson Coleman will be conducted Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Old Regular Baptist Elders officiating with entombment to follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Claypool Hill, Va.
Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. with services at 7:00 p.m.
